About Signaller Tests

Signaller Tests is an independent practice resource for the Network Rail signaller online assessment, the stage that filters out most trainee signaller applicants. We build original practice for the exercises applicants actually describe sitting — multi-tasking, pattern checking, the job simulation, the memory grid and the behaviour questionnaire — so that none of it is unfamiliar on the day.

Network Rail does not publish the contents of its assessment, so our exercises are modelled on consistent reports from recent applicants rather than on official material, and we say so wherever it matters.

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Network Rail, any train operating company or any trade union. Our questions are for preparation only and are not the official assessment. Recruitment rules and test formats can change — always follow the guidance issued with your own recruitment.
