The last part of the online stage is a questionnaire: statements about how you prefer to work, answered on an agreement scale. There is no published pass mark and no right answer in the ordinary sense — applicants report a fit report worded like “somewhat aligned”. It is not something to game, and trying to produces an inconsistent profile that shows up. What it is worth doing is going in knowing the non-technical skills Network Rail has listed for signallers — the framework applicants report the assessment interview is built on, and the obvious frame for what the questionnaire asks about — so you answer as yourself rather than as whoever you think they want. Network Rail does not publish how the questionnaire is scored, so this section is a multiple-choice briefing rather than an agree/disagree questionnaire: it teaches the framework and what an extreme answer tends to signal, and its keyed answers are our reasoning, not Network Rail's scoring.
